                  Online Registration Opens Friday, January 31 at 8:00am

   We are delighted you are registering your child for our popular summer camp! Whether you select one or multiple weeks, each week promises to deliver laughs, excitement and wonderful memories!  

Important - Please take a moment to read important camp information below, which may affect your selection of camp weeks. The registration process begins following this information.

Dates

  • Week 2 | June 30-July 3 | Monday-Thursday Four-Day Holiday Week  

  • Week 3 | July 7-11

  • Week 4 | July 14-18    

  • Week 5 | July 21-25    

  • Week 6 | July 28-August 1

Ages 

Children entering Kindergarten through Grade 5. Children must be 5 years of age by June 23 or entering Kindergarten.

Time Options 

  • Full Day | 9:00am-4:00pm  

  • Early Drop-Off | 8:00am  

  • Late Pick-Up | 5:00pm  

Fees

  • Full Day | $300 per week | $240 Week 2 

  • Early Drop-Off | $60 per week | $48 Week 2

  • Late Pick-Up | $60 per week | $48 Week 2

  • Early Drop-Off & Late Pick-Up | $100 per week | $80 Week 2

Medway Board of Health - Medway BOH requires a current (within the past 18 months) Health Form & Immunization Record for each camper. Health forms must be uploaded at the time of registration. 

Cancellations & Refunds - Register only for the weeks you know your child is able to attend. Refunds will be issued prior to May 15 if your child’s spot can be filled from our wait list. A $50 cancellation fee will be  deducted from the refund for each week cancelled. Refunds will NOT be issued after May 15. 

Employment & Volunteer Opportunities - Please share our counselor and LIT camp information with family members (past campers) and friends.  Camp is a great place to work/volunteer with school friends and the best adult staff!

  • Camp Counselors - If you are 16 years or older, join us as a paid camp counselor! We are on the lookout for enthusiastic individuals with previous experience working with children.  

  • Leaders-In-Training - If you are a student aged 14 or 15, our LIT program is a fantastic opportunity to volunteer and gain valuable experience.

Camp Location - Summer Adventures Camp is located at the Medway Middle School. This location offers both indoor and outdoor options. Courts for tennis and dodgeball, a blacktopped area for basketball and street hockey, numerous fields for activities and sports, tents for crafts and games, two gyms, an air-conditioned cafeteria, and additional indoor classrooms during inclement weather (both rainy days and extreme heat), are available daily.

Medway School District Summer Program Dates - Please note the dates of additional summer programs offered by the district, which may affect your choice of camp weeks:

  • Introduction to Kindergarten Program - The McGovern School program will take place July 28-August 1 from 8:15am-11:10pm OR 12:05-3:00pm. 

  • Extended School Year (ESY) - The Student Services Department program will take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays July 8-August 7 from 9:00am-12:00pm. Camp staff will work with Student Services to safely escort campers to their Middle School classroom.

Camp Licensing

  • The Summer Adventures Camp must comply with regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Health (105 CMR 430.000) and is licensed by the Town of Medway Board of Health. Information on 105 CMR 430.000 can be obtained at (617) 983-6761

  • Families may request copies of staff background checks, health care and discipline policies, as well as procedures for filing grievances.

Daily Fun

  • Activity Stations will ensure campers enjoy a variety of activities throughout the day.  Campers will travel with their group to interactive "Stations" offering fun choices for everyone.

  • Basketball Court for basketball, street hockey, "Four Square" plus much more

  • Tennis Courts for tennis and dodgeball

  • Fields for soccer, kickball, wiffle ball, flag football and much more...

  • Waterplay with refreshing activities, games and a waterslide

  • Arts & crafts, science activities, games, LEGOs and toys

  • Tents & Picnic Tables that provide sun-shelter and space for crafts & games

  • Playgrounds at the Burke-Memorial School

  • Gyms & Cafeteria (air-conditioned) plus classrooms on rainy or extreme heat days

  • Field Trips on Thursdays at no additional fee

  • Pizza Lunch on Fridays at no additional fee

  • Popsicles every afternoon at no additional fee

Staff

  • Melanie Dawson, Camp Director & Christine DeCristoforo, Assistant Director, are experienced teachers certified in CPR/First Aid, focused on providing an exciting camp experience in a safe environment.

  • Head Counselors - Energetic and highly qualified teachers who bring with them years of experience, creative ideas and tons of enthusiasm.

  • Counselors - Experienced and dependable leaders who interact with campers during all camp activities.

  • Leaders-in-Training - Volunteers who assist staff and campers throughout the day.

What to Bring

  • Backpack with a change of clothes, sneakers & socks, beach towel and sunscreen. 

  • A FILLED oversized insulated water bottle or jug every morning. Campers are required to carry their water to all activities throughout the day. Disposable water bottles are not accepted.

  • Cooler with a healthy lunch, several snacks and an ice pack as lunches are stored outside. Friday is pizza day! A lunch from home is not required, but don’t forget to pack extra snacks! Please indicate all food allergies when registering. Summer Adventures follows the District policy regarding peanut allergies and is a “peanut-sensitive” program.

  • Swim shirts and bathing suits are recommended for water activities and games.

    • Children ages 5-7 should wear bathing suits to camp for morning water play and will change clothes once water play is finished.

    • Children ages 8 and older may change into bathing suits at camp for afternoon water play.

  • Flip flops/sandals are acceptable, but sneakers and socks are required for certain activities.

  • Remember to label everything!

  • Any changes to the pick-up person must be communicated to the head staff at drop-off. The new pick-up person must present a driver’s license.

Special Requests/Medications/Allergies

  • Sunscreen must be applied by parents before drop-off. Counselors will help with sunscreen reapplication after lunch. 

  • If your child is on medication, please administer before leaving home. If medication is required during the day, both a doctor’s note and parent note are required. All medications are kept in a locked strongbox. Epi Pens travel with campers to activities throughout the day. 

  • Notify head staff of any new allergies or special needs if not already noted on your registration form. In the event of an injury, counselors will administer first aid. A parent will be notified immediately of a head injury or other serious injury.

  • If your child is ill, please keep them home.
