Dear Families of Incoming Grade 5 Medway Middle School Students:
Welcome to Medway Middle School! The transition to middle school is an exciting time for students and we are really excited to welcome our new class of learners. While we recognize that we are now living in an unprecedented time of extensive school closures, we wanted to write to share what we have designed to ensure an informative and meaningful grade 4 to grade 5 transition experience for you and your child(ren). Our goal is to provide you with the necessary information to ease the transition to middle school and help the newest members of our middle school community feel comfortable, safe, and ready to do their best academic work!
In preparation for next year’s transition I would like to invite all current Grade 4 families (including students)to a virtual Informational Night on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 7:00 p.m. We will host this virtual meeting through a video conferencing tool called Zoom. Information on how to join this meeting can be found below. At this meeting you will have an opportunity to learn more about the middle school educational program. This will include what a “day in the life of a 5th grader” looks like, and an opportunity to learn about World Language and Performing Arts choices. Lastly, during Thursday’s meeting, we will share with you a list of all grade 5 transition events, dates and times. We hope that you will join us.
