
Medway Public Schools is hiring a Substance Use Prevention ('SUP) Consultant. This position will build capacity for the 'SUP Medway youth drug prevention coalition. This position will oversee an evening youth drop-in program and support an afterschool youth empowerment group with the collaboration of coalition members and partners. This coordinator position will represent the 'SUP Medway Coalition at community events and coalition-sponsored activities. This position will facilitate coalition communication via email, social media, and outreach. At times, meeting facilitation and preparation will be required. The Rhode Island Blood Center (RIBC) is hosting a Community Blood Drive at the Thayer Homestead on Monday, October 28, from 1:00 - 7:00 pm. The RIBC has been collecting blood in Massachusetts for many years, and most of our collected blood ends up in Southern New England (Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island). Additionally, their lab in Providence does most of the hematology testing for all of the Massachusetts hospitals, including those in Boston. One pint of blood can save up to 3 lives, so 20 donors will save up to 60.
