The Rhode Island Blood Center (RIBC) is hosting a Community Blood Drive at the Thayer Homestead on Monday, October 28, from 1:00 - 7:00 pm. The RIBC has been collecting blood in Massachusetts for many years, and most of our collected blood ends up in Southern New England (Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island). Additionally, their lab in Providence does most of the hematology testing for all of the Massachusetts hospitals, including those in Boston. One pint of blood can save up to 3 lives, so 20 donors will save up to 60. Use the QR code in the graphic to sign up, or visit the website here: https://donate.ribc.org/donor/schedules/sponsor_code. (Use code M053).

Attention Medway families: The first day of school for grades 1-12 is approaching on Tuesday, September 3. Coincidentally, this is also the date of the State Primary Election, leading to expected increased traffic around Medway Middle School. Even though our school is located at a distance from the Middle School and the State Primary Election, Dr. Pires wants families to be aware that delays are expected throughout the district due to increased bus activity and student drop-offs.
